Following my adventures at the LoBlography event at the Soho Lomography HQ, I’ve been given a little treat to pass on to you all…..

All my Under A Glass Sky readers can now benefit from a free ’10 piggies’ (that’s £10 to spend on lomography goodies!) when they join their online community using this link……

10 piggies when you create your lomohome

Just click on the above and you will be automatically credited with your piggies, and then you can just enjoy spending them! As a registered lomographer, you get your own space (your lomohome) to upload and share photos to, the opportunity to enter competitions, receive tips and inspiration, and get news of promotions and new products. I have recently created my own lomohome which you can explore here….

And whilst I’m on the subject of Lomography…… This Friday sees the launch of a very special lomo project at the Museum of London! Those of you who have visited any of the lomo shops around the world will recognise their iconic photo walls….. any empty space it seems is prime fodder to cover in lush and glossy photos in all kinds of amazingly vivid colours.

And to celebrate this eventful year in London, Lomography have teamed up with the Museum of London to create an immense Lomowall of 30,000 photos! For five months at the start of this Olympic year, Lomography asked analogue photographers from all over the world to send them photos with the theme of ‘aspiring and achieving in London’. They have also recorded some of the Team GB Paralympic athletes in training, including tennis, judo, archery, swimming and equestrian. The result is a stunning mosaic of 30,000 individually printed analogue photos on 400 Lomowall panels, including images from 32 countries. I can’t wait to see it!

The exhibition is open for six months, but launches this Friday with a big bash…. You are all invited to join the party from 4:30pm to 7pm this Friday, at the Museum of London on London Wall. There will be free drinks courtesy of Rekorderlig, and the opportunity to celebrate this fabulous project as well as meet stacks of other Lomographers.

Great way to start the weekend I’d say!

Ems x
